    The luxury travel market is extremely competitive and one which a company based in Bolton has been very successful at catering for in Bolton in recent years. Destinology are a travel agent which offer medium to high end luxury holidays and they recently asked me to have a think about how they can expand their online offer and really build the brand outwith the confines of their current set up.

    Attached below is the presentation I did and ran through with them – indicating where I  though the current activity should be reviewed and where there were new opportunities and channels with which to build the brand. This was based on both offline and online brand reach opportunities.

    One thing that was interesting to note in the travel industry is the rollout (in BETA) of the hotel equivalent of PLAs (Product Listing Ads) in the US – called HLAs (correct – Hotel Listing Ads). These will offer more hotel aggregators the ability to bid on their inventory at a local level.
